Data protection statement
General information
The processing of personal details is required to participate in the Pletzer Resorts loyalty programme. This text provides information in accordance with Art. 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) about the processing details.
Pletzer Resorts Holding GmbH, Brixentaler Straße 3, 6361 Hopfgarten, Austria, along with individual resorts in the group (see https://www.pletzer-resorts.com). are responsible for processing. If you have questions with regard to this data protection information, or data protection at the Pletzer Group in general, please contact our Data Protection Officer at datenschutz@pletzer-gruppe.at.
Fundamentally, your details will not be forwarded to third parties, as long as this is not required for contract fulfilment, and we are not legally obliged to do so. Excluded from this rule are data transfers to external advisors or authorities for the enforcement or protection of legal claims. Also excluded is any forwarding to service providers who support us in the technical provisioning of the platform. However, these service providers may not use data for their own purposes and are bound by their own contracts to strict terms in the General Data Protection Regulation.
You have the right to receive information about, reporting on and to delete your data. You also have the right to restrict processing and any transfer of data to another responsible party. If you believe that your data has been wrongfully processed, you have the right to complain to the supervisory authorities.
Management of access data
To use the loyalty programme, a user identification (e-mail address) and a password (or a cryptographic hash value of the password) are required. Processing of this data is required to implement the agreement for participation in the loyalty programme (Art. 6 (1) b GDPR). Processing will continue until termination of the agreement.
Managing ‘Diamonds’
‘Diamonds’ are bonus points that are earned during the loyalty programme, and may be exchanged for various services. To do this, processing of details about overnight stays and information about personal details and also details with regard to the redemption of points, is required to fulfil the participation agreement (Art. 6 (1) b GDPR). The purpose of processing is the management of bonus points. The points collected do not lapse, which means processing continues until the end of the agreement.
Sending invitations to friends to participate
If a member would like to make the most of the opportunity to invite their friends to participate in the loyalty programme, an e-mail can be sent to friends in the system. The promoting member is contractually obliged to obtain the consent of their friends beforehand. Processing is then carried in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a GDPR. The consent only applies to the sending of this invitation mail. Consent is voluntary. If consent is not granted, the promoting member can send the invitation information themselves via e-mail, or via other communication channels.
Register for the newsletter
As a loyalty programme member, you have the option of registering for the loyalty programme newsletter, which contains exclusive information and offers. Your e-mail address will be processed to send this. In addition, information about your use of the newsletter (e.g. which articles have been read? When were the articles read? Which links were clicked on?) will be processed. Registration for the newsletter is voluntary and based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR). Your consent is valid until rescission. Since you have already been identified during registration via your username and password, upon registration for the newsletter there is no further confirmation thanks to double opt-in.
